Located in the former Palais de la Bourse dating from the end of the 18th century, designed by the architect Mathurin Crucy (to whom Nantes also owes the development of the Place Graslin and its theatre), the Fnac in Nantes covers three levels and 3,500^m2. A multimedia space, ticketing, after-sales service, click and collect, telephony, photography and household appliances occupy the ground floor, the^first floor is devoted to children's literature and games for young people, sound and video (records, CDs, DVDs, Blu Ray), and works on various themes: regionalism, society, health, philosophy, and the second floor is dedicated to reading with various themes: regionalism, society, health, French or foreign literature, school books, novels, mangas and comic books. A lounge invites you to browse through these literary products according to Fnac's programme, which also hosts press conferences or showcases and meetings with artists for album, book or film releases or signings. Please note: at the SNCF station, a new address welcomes you for nomadic and travel products: telephony, accessories, micro-computing and sound.

La Durance is a bookshop in Nantes that is more than a hundred years old and still independent. A beautiful and warm space spread over four levels where we pride ourselves on offering no less than 60,000 references on the many shelves: literature, culture and leisure, youth, learning and teaching, science and technology, legal and professional books, humanities, university works, arts and history. Competent booksellers await you in each of these sectors. Among other things, there is a section devoted to regionalism and a "language bookshop" with thousands of foreign titles in their original version. The Durance school card (free of charge) gives a 5% discount to secondary school students in the Loire-Atlantique region.

A nod to the wonderful novel by Émile Ajar aka Romain Gary, this pretty bookshop is located in the vibrant rue Joffre. Charlotte Desmousseaux, the young and talented creator of this space conducive to encounters, wanted to create a place of proximity, alive and bubbling like the rue du Maréchal-Joffre; a place of culture, sharing, meetings, readings and signatures... And the result is particularly successful. No doubt you will find inspiring books: French and foreign literature, travel and tourism, practical life, human sciences, essays and news, comics, arts, children's books in French and English...
