LA LIBRAIRIE BOUTIQUE DU CHÂTEAU DUCS DE BRETAGNE
Do you know many bookshops set up in a former guardroom? Here you can find books on the themes of the museum's exhibition rooms: the history of Anne de Bretagne, the slave trade, the Edict of Nantes, industry, literature, Nantes' surrealist figures, books on the artists whose paintings adorn the castle, but also a children's section and some very nice co-published books. A great way to extend the visit at home! There is also a wide range of original objects related to Nantes and its identity: watercolours of Nantes signed by Éric Cabanas, small notebooks of the castle, tokens from the French Revolution "Vivre libre ou mourir" (Live free or die), Nantes berlingots, or, for children, the little stuffed ermine or the little ghost of the castle... Exhibition catalogues and editions of the Château are also on sale in the bookshop. A selection that perfectly combines general public themes and more specific subjects, particularly on urban planning issues. Note that the bookshop now has an online shop where you can find all the essential books and objects.
