Ceviche and various gastronomic dishes to be tasted in a restaurant offering a beautiful view of the city of the Dukes in Nantes.
L'Atlantide 1874-Maison Guého, a one-star Michelin restaurant, opened its doors on the Butte Sainte-Anne at the end of 2015, and it has to be said, the gamble taken by Monsieur Guého and his team has been more than successful. After many years above the CCI, l'Atlantide has moved into the Maison de l'Hermitage. This old 19th-century mansion now offers an exceptional setting for epicureans from Nantes and beyond. A year of renovation work, a huge kitchen and an exceptional view of the city of the Dukes and the Loire River are the key features of this Nantes landmark. At lunchtime, we love the generous choice of starters, main courses and desserts. On this particular day, our palate was awakened by a fillet of red mullet in bread veil and autumn virgin, followed by a roasted pollack with chard ribs and Chantenay carrots, before finishing with a milky chocolate stripe with Corsican clementine supreme and Gianduja chocolate. Simply divine! For those with a sweet tooth, the menu offers gastronomic treasures such as langoustine ceviche with yuzu marmalade and marinated citrus fruits, snacked scallops from the Cotentin region with bard tripe and black truffle, squid à la majorquine with watercress green, followed by sea bass with Olivier Durand turnips and kumquat, or veal fillet in chestnut Viennoise with chestnut cream. And for dessert, enjoy cardamom-scented mango with passion vinaigrette or pick-your-own dark Equatorial chocolate porcini. Good to know, our starred chef from Nantes also offers 4 guest rooms and 2 private lounges in his palace. A place where the art of good eating and good entertaining retain their pedigree.
