STEREOLUX
Restaurant brasserie betting on local agriculture with its limited menu in order to cook only fresh products
Stéréolux is THE venue dedicated to contemporary music in Nantes. Located in the extension of the Machines de l'île building, it features not only a concert hall, now a fixture on the Nantes cultural scene, but also a restaurant. With its neo-industrial allure, the brasserie restaurant in the huge glass hall is well worth the detour, and is always busy at lunchtime. Brightly-colored furniture, seasonal programs from all the local cultural organizations and a staff as relaxed as they are efficient. The establishment promotes local agriculture, sourcing its vegetables and meat from an AMAP. The menu changes every week and is deliberately limited, as we only cook fresh produce. As a result, when it's gone... it's really gone! On this particular day, the menu featured an autumn salad with butternut and fried sweet potatoes, mushrooms and bacon; haddock fillet with just-browned peas and leeks, served with home fries; and a raspberry mousse and meringue tartlet. The menu also includes a burger, a StereoLux salad or a Stereo Bo Bun... All in all: an unpretentious, tasty meal in a very friendly atmosphere. Don't forget to book...
