DUCHESSE
Brasserie-bistro with terrace offering a few tables and nice retro wooden chairs in Nantes.
Adorned in its elegant black outfit, the new brasserie-bistro on Rue Maréchal-Joffre, instead of Cour 87, promises a beautiful atmosphere day and night. The three associates, Jean-Marc Laurent, at the counter, Sylvie Aubry, at the ovens, and Julien Ricordel, assisted by Sylvain at the service, opened it in March 2020 just before the confinement. Terrace in the street, a few tables in front of the counter, a green courtyard, a beautiful room with a red wall in the back near the kitchens, pretty retro wooden and red skaï chairs... everything is there. It must be said that this is not Jean-Marc's first case; he already has a fine record of success with his collection: the Cercle Rouge, the Café du Cinéma, the CafK and Madame Rêve. Just like his two acolytes, he is a music fan and it was only natural that they joined the Collectif Culture Bar-bars. The spirit here is one of conviviality: good sound, good drinks and seasonal home cooking... with, for example, on the restaurant's lunch menu: a sausage with muscadet, the Nantes speciality, its home-made purée and onion compote, or the Berlioz salad with salmon, tuna and cream rillettes, then, for dessert, the appetising pistachio-griot tartlet or the succulent Barbagato. In the evening, enjoy the bar and some entertainment with DJ sets or live music... come and enjoy a concert around an aperitif board accompanied by a glass of Elmer Food Beat Muscadet or a good local beer in one of the liveliest streets of Nantes. A little more clever is the pedestrianisation of the street in the evenings during the summer period.
