Atypical restaurant with a vintage and wooded atmosphere and a large open kitchen in Nantes.
The Cité des Congrès district never ceases to surprise us with its new and atypical restaurants. It is the case since 2015 of Papill' which charms from the entrance by its resolutely vintage and wooded atmosphere and its large open kitchen. Here, a part of the furniture and utensils have been found. Funny, these factory spots and old chamber pots as lamps! In addition to the decoration, we also appreciate the presentation of the dishes: small jars for starters and desserts, plates with stews or papillotes to be cut up at the last moment to preserve all the flavours. As a starter, you can enjoy sardine or salmon rillettes, terrine or salad of the moment... For the main course, seasonal products and local producers are in the spotlight. Among the papillotes, you can choose for example between Olé-Olé with creamy tagliatelle with chicken in chorizo and chive sauce, Cheesy with small potatoes sautéed with red onions, smoked sausage and camembert sauce or the Veggie of the moment... For dessert, rice pudding, caramel heart chocolate fondant, vanilla tiramisu with exotic coulis or daily desserts such as caramel custard, will satisfy your sweet tooth. Noteworthy are the brunch formula, the possible privatization, the catering services, the hot or cold meal trays to order and the cooking classes for young and old. And if you like the atmosphere of Chef Alexandre Challerie, you should know that he has since opened Papill' Gare, Stick and Karius... to be discovered!
