LE SELECT RESTAURANT

The Select storefront is located in the lively Rue du Château, in the heart of the medieval Bouffay district. The beautiful Art Deco facade, covered in blue and gold mosaics, and the large windows are easily recognizable. New team, new owners with Julie and John back from a world tour... Once inside, the atmosphere is warm and rocking. The mezzanine gives you a bird's eye view of this incredible setting. On the plate, it's the talent of chef Cédric Merceron that comes to the fore. The result is very good and efficient, with a short menu including a vegetarian proposal based on fresh, local produce that changes every week! During our visit, we sampled: for starters, the pumpkin velouté with smoked duck breast, and the tuna and kasha cake. Next up: braised beef parmentier or vegetable wok with mint and peanuts... And for dessert, we finish with chocolate fondant with Tonka bean chantilly or hazelnut moelleux with Dulce del leche espuma. Quality products cooked with creativity to please the palate. In the afternoon, you're invited to the tearoom for real hot chocolate or Viennese and Nantais cake or the chef's chocolate fondant. In the evening, the restaurant becomes a wine and cocktail bar, thanks to the talent of Julien, the bar tender, where you can also savour creative and original tapas like these tapas of roasted beet with cumin and coffee, white mint sauce or the 8h pulled pork confit, toasted brioche. Or the tartare of ribeye steak, morbier cheese and nashi pear, candied egg yolk. In the evening, choose from one or two classic restaurant-style dishes, such as duck tataki, ginger soy lacquer, carrot mousseline, pomme de terre grenaille and roasted carrot... or the sharing board (oyster, chicken effiloché, burrata, cod acras, hummus...). The evening menu changes regularly. A brunch one Sunday a month, either on the terrace on the pedestrian street or indoors, will delight our weekend guests! Last but not least, a 25-person private room (for companies, meetings...) is another of the new Sélect's assets. A special mention for the efficient, friendly service!
