Address with spacious restaurant, quiet terrace, home-made and fresh food with seasonal products

It is not far from the bridge of Pirmil and the Loire River, opposite the Saint-Jacques hospital that you will find Rouge Ardoise. A nice menu, a spacious restaurant and a quiet terrace are the assets of this beautiful and discreet address. In the garden, don't miss the eucalyptus which acts as a huge plant parasol... As for the plates, you will discover the Quentin Lab's cuisine combining homemade, fresh, local flavours with seasonal products. This young restaurateur travelled before settling in Pirmil: Cancale, Arbois, Indonesia, Bora-Bora in French Polynesia, New Zealand and the Auckland region are the stages that still inspire his cuisine. At lunch time, you can choose between the two starters: penne salad with smoked salmon, dill and mozzarella or seasonal gazpacho, the two courses: cod brandade with seaweed and crushed sweet potatoes with coriander, or the canned Breton canned leg with creamy mushrooms in truffle oil and the two desserts: apricot flour with vanilla pods or rhubarb charlotte. The choices are varied and appetizing to say the least, such as this aubergine caviar, coppa chiffonnade and quinoa crisp or this salmon tartar and cucumber gazpacho. In the evening, the more extensive menu allows you to spend a very pleasant moment. We let ourselves be carried away by the evocative names: feet in the water (like millefeuille squid confit with lemon leaves) or the cosy nest (perfect egg and seasonal ratatouille) as a starter. To be followed on the main course: Histoire de migration (roasted and deglazed duck breast with sherry and aubergine caviar...) or the market gardener's fish market (coastal cod steak and its creamy green bean risotto...). And to finish: the inevitable raspberry, dark chocolate and pistachio crème brûlée or the basket of strawberries which sublimates the strawberry in all its forms. The demanding wine list allows beautiful food and wine pairings thanks to Léa's advice. The setting and the service are delicious.

Très en colère, ce matin jour de la Saint Valentin, le restaurateur où j'avais réservé une table 4 jours avant me signifie annuler ma réservation prétextant une erreur de son employée, résultat impossible de réserver dans un restaurant de notre choix, tous complet, nous devions fêter en plus de la Saint Valentin, nos 20 ans de vie commune qui est le même jour ,soirée gâchée en raison d'une personne qui ne sait pas gérer un restaurant, ce n'est pas sérieux et je ne le recommande pas ,d'autant plus qu'il se trouve près de mon domicile, cela aurait pu être très sympa d'y aller a pieds en amoureux.

Le design de ce restaurant est sobre et feutré. Tout le personnel a su nous servir agréablement et de manière toujours discrète souriante et sympathique.
Les plats sont raffinés, parfumés juste comme il faut, bonne cuisson, belle présentation. Délicieux ! J'y retournerai volontiers et recommande cette adresse.

mmouais.. resto bobo qualité très moyenne, se fournit au Metro comme les routiers et arrange la bouffe... resto qui se la pète

very good restaurant, young chef creative (sonia deserves a star), resort with the desire to return...but because it is quickly full.
