Restaurant offering refined African fresh food, healthy dishes, gluten-free vegan recipes and fresh fruit salads
"Djaam" means "Peace" in Wolof (a Senegalese dialect). Sophie and Julie are the managers of this restaurant, one of four in this human-scale chain. Refined African fresh food, with pastels and "yassa, mafé and thieb" poké bowls as star dishes. You can compose your own dish with healthy food and fresh produce. Beef, chicken... but also gluten-free vegan and vegie recipes. Star products include fonio, a cereal that can replace rice, and attiéké (made from manioc), a vegetable. For dessert, don't miss the fresh fruit salad or the "thiakry" African yoghurt with coconut, couscous and millet cream. A treat and a place to travel to.
