GRAND MAGASİN
A victim of its own success, Grand Magasin has moved next door to a more beautiful space inaugurated in February 2020... twice as much space for this initiative that defends the reuse of objects, right next to the cathedral. Here Philippe Comtesse offers a second life to the products sorted and recovered from the Auvours eco-point, not far from Place Viarme. 80 tons of objects were collected there in 2019. In this Ali Baba's cave, which is stocked almost daily, lights, children's toys, crockery, books, CDs, DVDs, furniture, snow globes and other items are just waiting for you to start their new life! This beautiful project, carried out in partnership with Nantes Métropole, allows everyone to participate in the social and solidarity economy by consuming differently. For your information, Philippe is not at his trial run. We already owe him Stations Services in Rezé, the recycling plant for industrial materials, and the Supermarché du Réemploi in Bottière, which will give way to another project in the summer of 2020. And instead of the old shop, a new associate has blossomed: Les Virevoltantes, a resource centre dedicated to the world of the garden.
