Recipes based on fresh products for a local cuisine, accompanied by a glass of wine, served on the terrace
This establishment, located on the ground floor of a Nantes house, is worth a visit. Chef Anthony likes to work with fresh produce for a rather local cuisine with a few Mediterranean touches. The result on the plate is exciting: fresh, inventive and refined. The card changes every Tuesday. As a starter, you can enjoy a gourmet snack of cuttlefish with Thai flavours, a cheesecake with beetroot and ginger or one of the apple-budget ravioli and its cider cream. Then, an old-fashioned veal blanquette and spaetzles and mushrooms; a tab of grilled beef with garlic cream or a back of steamed cod and its white butter with star anise and dried fruit risotto. To finish, a Breton chocolate shortbread with its pistachio and almond ganache, a thyme and lemon meringue tartlet or a walnut blancmange with sweet spiced apples. To accompany all this with dignity, La Parenthèse has a beautiful wine list. In addition to the three rooms, on sunny days you can enjoy a beautiful shaded terrace. The restaurant welcomes groups and can organize a cocktail reception for a special event. The chef also offers takeaway meals. This is a great way to enjoy lunch or dinner.
Nous y retournerons certainement.
