It is on a former place of worship dedicated to Venus that the Benedictine monks of White Crown establish their priory. This is a well-known place in the heart of the forest of Gâvre and served as a maladrerie of Saint Lazare, of which Marie-Madeleine was the sister. It still has its original transverse beams and houses a polychrome statue of the th century limestone of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.
