The Rocher de Mutzig is the highest point in the Vosges Massif in the Bas-Rhin region of France
With its 1,010 meters of altitude, the Rocher de Mutzig is the highest point of the Massif des Vosges in the Bas-Rhin. It is in fact a gigantic rock composed of different blocks of sandstone, themselves encrusted with pebbles: a geological feature called "poudingue". The Rock offers a unique panorama on the valley and remains one of the essential stages of the hikes in the area. The surrounding area is covered with forests and peaks over 900 meters high. If you are lucky, you will see some of the wild inhabitants of the area.
