A miniature history museum with incredible figures, a fabulous visit for the whole family.
Here is an original history museum right at the foot of the Bonaguil castle. On 3 levels, 300m2 of exhibition space are presented to you for a journey through time. From Antiquity to the Vietnam war, superb figurines are displayed in dioramas of incredible precision, retracing 2,500 years of history. At the origin of this painstaking work, a team of European artists, miniature virtuosos, led by Olivier Chamberlain. This history and miniatures enthusiast will tell you all their secrets, from creation to staging, including manufacturing and painting. You should know that one of these little marvels can require up to 200 hours of work and can be sold for nearly €4,500! You can also admire some old objects, including a bastard, a 15th century sword with a fossilized wooden handle. Just next to the shop, which will delight the youngest, the ground floor houses a small exhibition of monuments of the region made by a craftsman in real carved stone. The Bonaguil dungeon took 3 years to build and weighs 50 kg! A fabulous visit to make with the family to complete the visit of the castle!
