A museum recounting the history of tapestry, an opportunity to discover the talent and originality of Dom Robert.
Opened in 2015 in the abbey-school of Sorèze, this museum tells the story of 20th century tapestry. It mainly pays tribute to a great name of Aubusson tapestry, Dom Robert, a Benedictine monk and tapestry cartonnier. At each step, we discover his talent and the originality of his works, centered on the naked nature and the color. Among the other 20th century artists represented, we find Lurcat and Gromaire, Prassinos, Théo Kerg, Lagrange and Sicard.

Musée sur la tapisserie, sur Dom Robert sa vie ses œuvres. De très belles tapisseries et également des vidéos explicatives.
Extérieur bien entretenu avec une belle piscine et des jeux pour petit et grand dont un jeu de dames géant
Mais j'aurais préféré connaître un peu plus la vie des enfants : salle de classe, d étude, bibliothèque ...
Salle des illustres à ne pas rater.
Les bâtiments sont imposants. Le musée Dom Robert de la tapisserie du vingtième siècle est exceptionnel. Le musée sur l'histoire de l'école de Sorèze est très intéressant sans oublier les expositions temporaires.
Belle boutique à l'entrée et très grand parking gratuit ombragé.
