Located 80 kilometers from Toulouse, the Sidobre is an enormous block of stone as long as it is wide and deep (10 kilometers on each side). The region is home to some twenty granite quarries, including France's largest: the Plo quarry. Thousands of blocks are produced every year! Its blue-grey granite, known as Granit du Tarn Silverstar, has many advantages: it is free of black spots and pyrite - which promotes rusting - and is highly homogeneous and wear-resistant.
