Didactic museum to discover the history of the Cathars, with an exhibition tracing a religious and tragic page of the Occitan Middle Ages
This educational museum is a veritable hub for the discovery of Cathar history. By wandering through its spaces, visitors will gain a clearer idea of the human dimension of the Cathar faith. On the first floor, Admiral Fuzier's home, whose two salons reflect the lifestyle of the 19th-century Protestant haute bourgeoisie, is open to visitors free of charge. On the second floor, a 300 m² exhibition retraces a religious and tragic page of the Occitan Middle Ages, based in particular on the traces left in the village of Hautpoul.
