A must-see visit, the Musée du Pastel traces 500 years of history around this plant that has forged the identity of the region. This 11th, 16th and 18th century castle, built on a hill overlooking the plains of the Lauragais and patiently restored, is in itself a history book. Its walls keep in memory the visit of Henri IV, who took refuge there in 1585, but shelter especially extraordinary vestiges of this industry of the pastel, like this authentic dryer with cocagnes as well as the superb mill pastelier. A visit not to be missed!
