The famous Oberti salting house opens a museum dedicated to Lacaune hams
The famous Oberti salting house has opened a museum dedicated to Lacaune hams. On site, all the stages are presented. The walk will take you through a drying room of 12,000 hams, where the scents will tickle your nostrils. Old machines and objects of the time will be detailed during the visit. A video on the company's other activities will be shown, including a slicing demonstration by the master cured ham maker. Finally, a tasting of the company's specialties will be organized in the sales store.

Closed from November to February. Groups are welcome all year round by appointment (06 47 02 69 42). Free visit with audio guide, Monday to Saturday: from 9:30 to 11:15 am and from 2:30 to 4:45 pm (and until 5:45 pm in July and August). Guided tour in July and August, Monday to Saturday, departure at 10:30 am and 3 pm. Free for children up to 12 years old. Adult: 4 € (5€ guided tour). Special visit for children aged 3 to 6 during the summer school holidays, on Wednesdays at 10.30 am (only by reservation). Guided tour. Shop. Animations.

Une fois à la caisse nous demandons un petit sac papier par cadeau ( 4 en tout 2 saucissons par sac !! ) avec la carte du magasin histoire que cela fasse cadeau régional il a fallut parlementer tant cela paraissait difficile à la vendeuse les sacs n’avaient rien d’exceptionnel sac craft et la carte agrafée pouvait servir de com mais cela a été difficile à obtenir …incroyable
