Stone considered as one of the highest menhirs of Europe, whose weight would approach the 9,5 tons
The Pierre Plantée is considered as one of the highest menhirs in Europe. Classified as a historical monument, the weight of this megalith would be around 9.5 tons. Planted and well planted, therefore. Counting the buried part, the stone measures 4,50 meters high and 1,85 meter wide and we can still guess some millenary engravings. It stands out with pride in the middle of a green landscape dominated by the rock of Montalet, observing the world for five thousand years.
