Museum presenting an impressive collection of Francisco Goya and other artists in the former episcopal palace in Castres.

After renovation, extension and transformation work completed in 2023, the Goya Museum has reopened its doors to welcome visitors to a 1500^m2 space. Great names such as Miró, Picasso, Dalí and Velázquez punctuate the visit. Housed in the former ^17th-century episcopal palace, it boasts an impressive collection of works by the greatest masters of Spanish painting from Antiquity to the present day: Francisco Goya, Reixach, Borrassà, Mates, Alonso Cano, Fortuny, Zurbarán, Mallo, Bueno...

Open all year round. From October to May, except school vacations (zone C): Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. From June to September and school vacations (zone C): every day from 10 am to 7 pm. Adult : 9 € (6€ reduced rate). Vacation voucher. Guided tour. Animations.

Un musée de province qui peut faire des envieux. J'ai eu grand plaisir à le re-découvrir presque un an après sa réouverture. Une modernisation réussie. La collection permanente est bien mise en valeur. Une programmation variée à l'attention de tous les publics. Nous avons bénéficié d'une visite famille en compagnie de nos petits-enfants, très bien conduite sur le thème des costumes en peinture.
