THE FORMER EPISCOPAL PALACE
The palace, built between 1669 and 1673, is the setting for the town hall and the Goya museum, and is listed as a historic monument.
Built in the 17th century on the initiative of Monseigneur de Tubœuf, the Palais épiscopal has been a listed historic monument since 1927. Built between 1669 and 1673 by architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart, it now houses the Hôtel de Ville and the Goya Museum. Don't hesitate to take a break in its splendid garden, designed by Le Nôtre, Louis XIV's famous landscape gardener, and listed on the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. A must-see!
