Created in 1993, the association aims to develop the teaching and practice of Occitan of Gascony in the Hautes-Pyrénées by proposing learning and speaking workshops to maintain the daily practice of the language. Open to all, the workshops of different levels are offered from September to June. To accompany the courses, Parlem publishes works on the Occitan culture and language of Gascony (dictionaries, history books, collection of texts...). The association also organizes workshops for children.
