A small water mill allowing to understand the work of the craftsmen of the time

A great part of the history of this village is sheltered by the mills of Arcizans-Dessus. There are 22 of them, and in the past there were more than a hundred. They follow one another along a small stream crossing the village. The first of them, a small water mill entirely restored, can be visited and allows to understand the work of the craftsmen of the time. Originally used to grind corn, barley, wheat, millet and buckwheat for the families of the Val d'Azun, most of them have recently been renovated and three of them are now rural gîtes.
