Read moreSaint-Clar is the leading garlic-producing town in the Gers, a pretty village of around 1,000 inhabitants overlooking the Arratz valley, north-east of Fleurance and surrounded by hillsides. You'll be charmed by the village's medieval heritage, with its covered market, two arcaded squares, the church of Sainte-Catherine, the garden of the four seasons and the bishop's palace, now home to the media library. In summer, Saint-Clar comes alive with concerts and theatrical performances, as well as gourmet evenings in the squares.
