At the Centre d'Interprétation du Patrimoine (Heritage Interpretation Center), you'll discover how rural life used to be in Northern Alsace! The vast collections are presented in a highly entertaining way: you'll discover the traditions of yesteryear through objects and scenes set in a typical Alsatian house. From daily life to the trades of yesteryear, you're invited to take a trip back in time. The Maison Rurale regularly organizes themed events and exhibitions.

Opening time and information on MAISON RURALE DE L'OUTRE-FORÊT
Closed December 25 and January. Open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11am to 5pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 6pm until April 30; then we adopt summer opening hours (Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm) until September 30 (January is closed to the public). Free for children under 6. Adults: €6. Children (aged 6 to 18): €4. Family pass and annual subscription 14€ School group 4€ per child, adult group 5€ per person unguided tour, 5,5€ guided tour. Guided tour. Catering (cafeteria during opening hours, pastries on Sundays, catering as programmed).

The Maison rurale de l'Outre-Forêt is a heritage interpretation center located in Kutzenhausen. It invites you to discover a heritage and a territory through the various collections on display. You'll find illustrations of rural life in the first half of the 20th century. You can also take part in events, workshops and exhibitions. The aim of this interactive space is to encourage people to protect their heritage and pass it on to others, to encourage them to take ownership of their heritage, to encourage them to learn, to deepen their knowledge, to enhance the value of their heritage and to contribute to local development. Des souvenirs resurgissent, par le biais de ces objets en somme très quotidiens, qui ont acquis une valeur beaucoup plus snetimentale dans notre coeur
Ayant visité en 2017, et je constate avec plaisir le progrès et l'amélioration de l'infrastructure du site depuis lors, en voici un peu un flash 'retro' des photos sélectionnées datant de cette visite
Un détour bien sympathique, à travers de ce site, beaucoup de bons souvenirs sont beaucoup moins flous, et des anecdotes remontent à la première ligne de notre histoire du vécu personnel de tout d'un chacun
