On Wednesday mornings, the city center of the bastide of Gimont is completely taken over by the merchants who set up from one end to the other of the large National street, made pedestrian for the occasion. In winter, there is a lot of space between the stalls, but in summer the market is in full swing, and the street is crowded. When the weather gets too threatening or violent, the market closes in the big and beautiful hall of the central square. In winter, don't miss a visit to the "halle au gras", if only for the special atmosphere.
