To support their community and maintain the buildings, the nuns have started to produce and sell monastic products. At Boulaur Abbey in the Gers, near Gimont, there is a time for prayer and another for work. The 25 nuns of the community produce cheese, pâté, jam and flour. A work on the farm on nearly 27 hectares which gives rhythm to the hours at the abbey as much as to the liturgy. "We are real farmers and we have the status of farmers," confides Sister Anne.

La boutique propose beaucoup de produits fabriqués par les sœurs, et par les abbayes de différentes régions.
Visite très agréable, à découvrir.
La visite gratuite que nous avons pu faire avec une Sœur très communicante et et à la ferveur communicative est très intéressante pour comprendre les différences de règles qui régissent les différentes communautés et les modes de vie monacale.
Seul regret : Ne pas avoir pu visiter le cloître, réservé aux Soeurs...
Enfin, la "boutique" est riche de produits de la communauté et de la région, à des prix très corrects.
Prévoyez 2 heures pour la visite pour prendre le temps de flâner un peu, et vérifier les horaires d'ouverture aux visites avant de venir...
