This chapel built in the heart of the Bastide, in the 17th century, presents some remarkable attributes.

Built in the heart of the Bastide in the 17th century, the Chapel of the Black Penitents has some remarkable features. Starting with its architecture in the shape of a Greek cross, topped by a curious roof with two superimposed bells. The interior is no less dazzling: the altarpiece is without doubt the most sumptuous piece of furniture. This formidable work of carpenter, cabinetmaker, sculptor, stucco artist, gilder and painter reveals Christ in all his beauty and grandeur.

Très jolie Chapelle qui mérite d'être visiter, jolie musique pour agrémenter l'observation des peintures aux murs et au plafond; la dame à l'accueil très gentille nous a donné pas mal d'explications; Une visite incontournable de Villefranche après le Marché !
