The creation of Roquefort Société dates back to 1842, when a producer decided to group together several of his colleagues within what would become the oldest limited company in Europe. In the 1960's, 385 cheese dairies were working for Société. You will have the opportunity to visit the cellars, built in the Middle Ages and still in activity. In 12,000 square meters, at a temperature of 10 degrees, the cheese is matured between January and July. Don't miss the store to take a little (or a lot) of this Aveyron delicacy home with you.

A visit to the cellars is very nice, interesting and full. Tasting is a bit hard to visit the morning! A flat to note: we do not recommend to visit the cellars between December and June: to see all cheeses stored in the cellars. But at the beginning of January, the first cheeses barely start to, and you will see more artificial cheeses than real!
Very good visit to the cellars and the manufacturing process of Roquefort. Interesting visit in The.
The place is worth the detour. you will discover the history of roquefort and manufacture of cheese. Varied underground walk, with activities and m^me small sound and light. The restaurant of the cellar is worth the detour menus with good values for money
