This charming abbey with its superb altarpiece, built around a central cloister, hosts concerts every summer.

The abbey is built around a central cloister. It is fortified, so that externally it looks as much like a castle as a religious building. The purity of the lines of its church and other outbuildings is admirable and gives it a special charm. The abbey has suffered many attacks and some parts were rebuilt in different styles. It was restored between 1880 and 1897, and today you can admire a superb altarpiece or listen to one of the concerts that take place every summer.
