The church was home to a cemetery that interfered with the construction of the boulevards and station
Demolished, rebuilt: Sainte-Foy church is almost a survivor, with its huge bell tower and small chapel. This place of worship was dedicated to Saint Foy, a martyr from Agen. Part of the church dates from the 13th century, while the stone bell tower dates from the 19th century. The church was partially destroyed in 1893. It was home to a cemetery that interfered with the construction of the boulevards and railway station. Mayor Jean-Baptiste Durand decided to move one and demolish half of the other. As you leave the station, this is one of the first buildings you'll see.
