Private museum featuring collectors' items alongside old, everyday cutting tools and their manufacture

Within the Honoré Durand cutlery and forge, a Living Heritage company, this private museum offers an exhibition of old-fashioned tools and collector's items, fashioned thanks to the know-how of men. The visit can be coupled with a visit to the cutlery manufacturing workshops, to discover the gestures and the steps necessary to the birth of the famous Laguiole knife, of which the largest model in the world, 6 meters high and 10 tons, stands in front of the building.

Artisanat de coutellerie
Sympathique musée gratuit sur des outils d'autrefois avec un petit film explicatif à l'entrée. Des explications très fournies et éducatives sur la coutellerie données lors de la visite de groupe . Enfin le magasin permettra à chacun de trouver son couteau fabriqué artisanalement sur place ( forge , coutelliers ,etc..)

Un visite très intéressant, qui fait le bonheur de mon mari qui est passionné des couteaux mais ca a également capté l’intérêt de nos enfants. C'est une visite incontourneable , la visite est gratuit pour les clients. Il faut payer une petite somme si l'on achete rien il me semble mais dans le village, plusieurs atelier ouvrent leur portes gratuitement
