MUSÉE DES COLPORTEURS

Right from the wooden storefront, we know we're in for a trip back in time! Hardware, grocery, hosiery... We're standing in front of the home of Maurice Souquet (a visionary in his day). In the 19th and 20th centuries, this store, which closed in the 50s, was the "hub" for peddlers, who stocked up on supplies before setting off to sell their wares, travelling the roads and paths of the many valleys to the most remote villages. This interesting museum is entirely dedicated to them. A must-see.
