THE IRON MINE OF THE RANCID

This exhibition traces the history of the Rancié iron mine, long considered the most important iron mine in the Pyrenees. Miners' picks, oil lamps, gorbilho, engravings, old photographs and period documents are on display; the film by Arthus Fonthès also allows you to relive the living conditions of these miners' families. A "mine" area has been set up in the Maison des Patrimoines, le Barri in Auzat.
