A castle in eagle's nest at the confluence of the Ariège and the Arget which stands out from the mountainous piedmont. A great moment of history.

The picture of "little smart" speaks for itself. It is an impressive and impressive fortress that dominates the city of FOIX, in a beautiful state of conservation. A voir si de passage dans la région mais rien de très original comparé à d'autre château.
Les visites sont cependant intéressantes et pédagogiques, et permettent d'en apprendre un peu plus sur le château Comtal.
Il faut monter une longue côte pour y accéder, donc compliqué pour les personnes à mobilité réduite.

Un très beau château à visiter pour replonger dans l'univers médiéval notamment dans la salle d'arme. L'accès est glissant les jours de pluie (dalles au sol sur la montée) alors soyez vigilant.
Par contre si le temps est pluvieux et que les nuages sont bas vous aurez une vue du château un peu ténébreuse qui nous replonge un peu plus dans un univers médiéval appréciable!
