A shoreline with a chapel, ideal for bathing in the waters during the summer months and taking a boat ride

On the bank of the "mirror of a thousand reflections", there is a pretty chapel formerly dedicated to Saint Gérard and Saint Barthélemy. It was rebuilt and renamed Saint-Florent in 1727. You can bathe in the waters during the summer season, but the water comes from the mountain: it is most invigorating. You can also go boating there. As you go up to the Schlucht pass and cross the Devil's Rock, a tunnel dug into the rock, you can see the lakes of Longemer and Retournemer below.

Ce lac qui est situé seulement à quelques kilomètre de celui de Gérardmer est plus propice à la baignade, le pique nique et d'accès. Enclavé dans une vallée du plus bel effet avec ses montagnes environnantes, il sera séduire toute la famille quelque soit l'âge! Les pelouses ombragées sont vraiment un plus avec de grands parkings gratuits en son pourtour.

Ce lac est un peu plus grand que celui de Gérardmer, mais surtout il est dans un cadre plus naturel. Il est excentré du village et il est entouré de verdure et d'arbres.
Idéal pour les promenades et les piques nique.

Un lac proche de celui de Gérarmer, beaucoup moins touristique que ce dernier. Nous avons fait le tour à pied, mais le parcours est très mal amménagé, et on ne profite pas beaucoup des vues du lac.
