A fort that has been modernized several times and is currently being restored, with elements installed in the underground sections
The fort was built between 1882 and 1884 by Séré de Rivières. Virtually intact, it has been modernized several times and is currently being restored. It is now listed as a Historic Monument. However, a volunteer association provides guided tours. In the underground sections, you'll discover several elements that have been restored: artillery pieces, kitchens... There's also a Galopin eclipse turret dating from 1907, in perfect working order. It's the only one of its kind.
