A site in Grand, where you can admire one of the largest mosaics in Europe, preserved in its original location.

Grand was once a vast agglomeration of over 70 hectares with more than 10,000 inhabitants. Discover the amphitheater (among the 10 largest in the Roman world) built in the first century and able to accommodate up to 17,000 people. Admire the 232m2 mosaic, one of the largest in Europe, preserved in its original location. You will have the opportunity to visit the sites with an audioguide. Children (8-12 years old) will be transformed into archaeologists thanks to a game booklet.

Un site impressionnant et un parcours de visite qui permet de bien comprendre comment était la ville de Grand pendant la période gallo-romaine. À noter que la mosaïque se trouve sur un autre site dans le village. Le transfert peut se faire à pied en 5min du parking.
