The Théâtre du Peuple, a listed historical monument, is an exceptional place. With its wooden architecture, the Théâtre du Peuple is also, and above all, a magnificent human adventure. Its founder, Maurice Pottecher, wanted to make it "a theatre accessible to all, to the entire people without exclusion of caste or wealth, and which would interest all those, even of very diverse minds, whom it would bring together on its terraces.
