Schedules to be consulted on the site. Monday to Friday Tours start at 2.30pm sharp. Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 1st tour at 2pm and last tour at 3.30pm for a 2.30pm tour. Adults: €15 (concessions: €11). Children (aged 4 to 16): €6. Constant temperature: 12°, wrap up warm. Vacation vouchers. Only 80% of the tour is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Guided tour (2 hours; bring warm clothing). Gift store. Strollers accepted. No pets allowed.

This imposing fort is one of Veckring's major attractions. It is one of the largest and most complex structures on the Maginot Line, built in the 1930s to defend France against invasion. A visit will immerse you in the fascinating history of this monument. Your guide will explain the details of the fort's construction, the living conditions of the soldiers, and the military operations that took place there. The tour also illustrates the importance of national defense and France's determination to protect its borders after the First World War. Explore the labyrinthine tunnels and impressive underground installations of the Hackenberg on foot or by small train. The fort extends over some 10 kilometers of galleries and includes 19 combat blocks.

Très bien mis en situation par des scénettes restituant l'atmosphère.
Visite bien organisée avec "petit train" (wagon) pour s'engouffrer dans les entrailles de cette mini-cité souterraine.

You will surprise with the modernity of the place (running water, electricity produced by a power plant in the fort, system air filter...), life of men inside and history of the fort.
A visit impressive and very pleasant to be missed! You can not see 2heures passing!
On peut y admirer de très belles collections d'armes et d'uniformes.
La visite s'effectue en petit train et à pied. Il faut penser à s'habiller chaudement car la visite dure 3 heures et il fait très frais. Une plongée dans l'histoire passionnante et impressionnante.
