It could carry 4 people and a basket of eggs across fields, without breaking them... According to the advertising of the time! From 1948 to 1990, the 2CV, a popular, comfortable and economical car, delighted generations of drivers. Created in 1998, this museum is dedicated to this great myth of automotive history. You'll find surprising versions of the 2CV: floating, flying, rolling... Nearly 80 models are on display. In the store, you'll find a CD of the sound of the 2CV's engine. A little palace for lovers of the deudeuche.

Da stehen sie in Reih und Glied, in der ersten Reihe meist grau, weiter hinten aber auch gelb, blau oder grün. Mehr als 100 Enten stehen im 2CV-Museum, das ein Verein von Fans des Deux-Chevau in einer alten Fabrikhalle auf mehreren 100 Quadratmetern eingerichtet. Darunter sind die Klassiker, welche mit Katalysator, ein laubfroschgrüner mit bleifreiem Benzin. Es gibt sie aber auch als Kastenwagen, Sport-Rallye-Ente, als Feuerwehrautos und als Kettenfahrzeug. Wüstenexpeditions-tauglich ausgerüstet oder für Camping. Sogar als rotes Flugzeug oder als blauer Korb eines Heißluftballons. Aber auch mit dem Gleitschirm hat sich die Ente in die Lüfte erhoben. Eine alte 2CV-Werkstatt ist ebenfalls eingerichtet. Und es sind ungezählte Teile vom Lenkrad bis hin zu den typischen Sitzen in Regalen gestapelt. Und das darf man alles ohne Eintritt besichtigen, lediglich eine Spende ist erbeten. Das Areal, auf dem auch die Museumshalle steht, war einst eine große Glasfabrik mit mehr als 3000 Beschäftigten. Heute ist auf einem Teil des Geländes noch eine Flachglasfertigung von Schott VT, einem Tochterunternehmen von Schott Mainz. Es geht vor allem um Ceranfelder.
