Guided tour of the Simserhof in Siersthal, one of the most important artillery works on the Maginot Line.
A two-hour visit to gain a better understanding of the Simserhof and honor the courage of all those involved. The fort, built between 1929 and 1938, was home to 876 crewmen who bravely defended the Maginot Line, a testament to an era and to the colossal efforts of hundreds of workers. Explore the barracks and its living quarters: bedrooms, foyer, kitchens, infirmary, power station, workshops and ammunition stores. A visit through vast galleries forming a veritable underground city 25 meters below ground.

Man kann die Tour auf Deutsch buchen, das Personal ist durchweg sehr freundlich und spricht ebenfalls sehr gut Deutsch. Wir haben dort ca. drei Stunden verbracht (inkl. Snack im Bistro) und fanden alles sehr spannend. Im Besucherzentrum ist auch ein Souveniershop und WC‘s.
Wichtig: im Bunker ist es zu jeder Jahreszeit sehr kühl (Temperatur um 10 Grad). Daher empfiehlt es sich unbedingt, warme Kleidung mitzunehmen!
