CONVENT OF SAINT-JEAN-DE-BASSEL

The convent of Saint-Jean-de-Bassel, run by the Sisters of Divine Providence, is the mother house of this female religious congregation. Its spiritual center is managed by the Association des Amis de la Providence, which welcomes groups and individual guests all year round for spiritual retreats and human and spiritual formation sessions for children, teenagers and adults. The Sisters of Divine Providence, together with lay people, are committed to this mission of welcome and accompaniment. There are many possibilities for spiritual support. According to your wishes, you can pray alone or with others, talk with a nun, share the community's prayer, make an individual retreat, alone or accompanied, or take part in a lively retreat already organized. It's also possible to enjoy a time of rest in a setting of silence and peace. Finally, we can organize retreats, sessions and meetings for groups. You'll be welcomed into a rural setting with parkland and forest, in a particularly peaceful environment.

Services: Lauds at 7:30 a.m., Vespers and Mass at 6 p.m. (except Saturday 11:45 a.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.), Vespers at 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Facilities: through its association, the convent offers outings and events to raise awareness of the environment. The site also boasts a high-quality catering service and large-scale collective accommodation offering full board. The sisters even grow their own fruit and vegetables.
