PANGE CASTLE GARDEN
The garden of a magnificent chateau in Pange, France, is a romantic, harmonious space full of plants.
Located 15 km south-east of Metz (near Thionville), Château de Pange was built in 1720 by Jean-Baptiste Thomas, Marquis de Pange. Today his descendants are happy to welcome you to tell you the story of an old Lorraine family. Around this magnificent 18th century castle, landscape architect Louis Benech has created a particularly elegant composition, full of softness and harmony, which links the various buildings. The plant space extends over several places (perennial room, mixed border and fresh island). After crossing the monumental barn and accessing the gallery, you will look at both the garden and the bucolic landscape. The visit of the garden is followed by a romantic walk in the park of 300-year-old oaks, on the banks of the Nied river, where the image of the castle is reflected. This garden is part of the Jardins sans Limites network, which includes about twenty gardens between Moselle, Saarland (Germany) and Luxembourg. Since 1990, the castle has been classified as a historical monument. A pedagogical visit that will please the whole family!
