THE MITTERSHEIM WASHHOUSE
A washhouse opposite a calvary in Mittersheim, where washerwomen took care of their laundry.
On the banks of the Naubach, this charming washhouse was used by washerwomen to look after their laundry. Now restored, it allows the curious to discover a forgotten practice. The washhouse is located opposite the calvary, where the village's main road passes. If you'd like to find out more about the history of the washhouse and other monuments, please contact the Arts & Crafts Association, which can organize guided tours by appointment.
