At Derrière, Johan's cuisine is artistic and delightful. You can taste it with your eyes and then let it express itself in your mouth. We have to admit that he has a great talent for creation! Marine, his other half, has an instinct for the place, the right atmosphere, the good taste of the tones and materials. Together, they also created Côte de Beauf, a rotisserie and guinguette, and recently opened a "bistro, wine and friends" concept. Their pleasure: to live good moments with epicureans around the tables they create with talent!

Low season: open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday evenings from 7pm to 10pm; Tuesday to Saturday lunchtimes from 12pm to 2pm. High season: Monday to Saturday evening, 7-10pm; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday lunchtime, 12-2pm. Sundays private. Reservations recommended. Menus from €60 to €78 ("à l'aveugle" menu (4 to 6 courses)). A la carte menu: approx. €70 (starter-main course-dessert). Set lunch menu: €29 (dish of the day: €16). Wine by the glass. Terrace.

Located in the heart of the city of Metz, the restaurant Derrière offers a mix of French and Italian cuisine prepared with fresh products, with seasonal inspirations, favoring organic and local products. The establishment offers as starters the perfect egg, the Saint Jacques, the eel and the starter of the day. For the dishes, you can taste the sweetbreads with morels, the catch of the day, the hunt of the moment, the squab, the beef filet and the saddle of rabbit. As for the desserts, choose between the choco praline, the cheese platter, the saint Marcellin, the pineapple coconut, the lemon hazelnut and the dessert of the day. Moreover, the Derrière restaurant has a summer terrace as well as atypical and air-conditioned rooms. It organizes custom-made events (birthdays, baptisms, communions, meetings, end-of-year parties...).

Eine große Enttäuschung. Leider konnte die bemühte Bedienung das unterdurchschnittliche Essen nicht aufwiegen. Das angeblich perfekte Ei war glibberig, in einer undefinierbaren Soße schwimmend. Ich gab es zurück. Die weiteren Speisen entsprachen weder dem Preis noch dem im Internet hochgelobten Niveau. Nie wieder. Die Einrichtung gleicht einem in die Jahre gekommenen Dekoladen, leicht schmuddelig und billig gemacht.

Peu de produits nobles au vu des tarifs. De facto, mauvais rapport qualité-prix. Service extrêmement long et moyennement sympathique. Le cadre sauve un peu l’expérience que je ne renouvellerai pas. De biens meilleurs restaurants aux mêmes tarifs. Expérience vraiment très décevante. Cela m’arrive très rarement de me dire « ah ouais, je vais lâcher autant pour si peu » mais ce fut malheureusement le cas.
