HOUSE OF GORZE LAND HISTORY
The land of Gorze refers to the independent seigneury that reigned over the city and its environs for centuries, until its attachment to France in 1661. Retraçant the life of Gorze from prehistory to today, the charming museum has three small rooms with varied but complementary themes. There are various documents and aerial photographs, relics of the abbey of Gorze (tents, small Pièta sculpted), reproductions of manuscripts of the th century (touching on the legend of Saint Clement who would have massacred the terrible Graoully), as well as an interactive model presenting the stages and techniques of construction of the aqueduct. Vidéoprojections are organised in the old vaulted cellar; two slide shows devoted to the Roman aqueduct (over the water) and to the monastic life (In the way of monks), approximately 45 minutes. jkjk
