The Maginot Line unveils two large-scale works that are still functional on the fortified site of Cattenom Wood. The elements of these works are presented in their 1940 context. The fortifications that have survived bear witness to the French army's willingness to prepare for a new war that it had feared since 1920. More than a thousand soldiers defended this position, which was also used by American troops when they crossed the Moselle in 1944
