NUIT EUROPÉENNE DE LA CHAUVE-SOURIS

If the world houses more than 950 species of bats, Lorraine has about of them and Saintois has a Dozen. Among these nocturnal mammals, the Little Horseshoe. Sion Hill is one of the last bastions of this endangered species in northeast France. The locality of Zion and its surrounding communes are protected areas that work to safeguard the Little Horseshoe through various projects. On the occasion of the European Night of the Bat, a night outing is offered to the public to discover the species and its environment.
